1. What is personal data?

Personal data refers to any information that directly or indirectly can be linked to a currently living physical person. This includes photographs, audio recordings, or encrypted data of various electronic identities if they can be connected to a physical person.

2. General Information about the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)

The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) applies within the EU. It came into effect on May 28, 2018, to ensure a uniform level of protection for personal data within the union and to guarantee that the free flow of personal data is not hindered. For more information, you can visit the Swedish Data Protection Authority’s website.

3. General Information about Hammargruppen’s Privacy Policy

Hammargruppen values your privacy and complies with applicable legislation at all times. This policy applies only to Hammargruppen’s customers and users of Hammargruppen’s website. By providing your personal data to us and accepting the applicable terms, you consent to your personal data being processed in accordance with this privacy policy. If the law requires a more specific consent from you, we will naturally request it.

If you are under 18 years old, you must have parental or guardian consent to purchase from us. We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors, and if we become aware that we have collected such information without parental or guardian consent, we will take steps to delete the data.

4. Use of Personal Data

By joining Hammargruppen’s customer list, you accept that Hammargruppen collects, processes, stores, and uses your personal data so that Hammargruppen can provide the products offered through its website. For individuals under 18, parental consent is required for registration and processing of personal data. By accepting these terms, you confirm that you are either over 18 or that your guardian consents to Hammargruppen storing and processing your personal data under these terms. Hammargruppen reserves the right to verify such consent.

Hammargruppen may disclose personal data to third parties, such as police or other authorities, if it pertains to criminal investigations or if Hammargruppen is otherwise legally required to disclose such information by law or administrative decision.

Hammargruppen does not transfer personal data to countries outside the EU/EEA. However, if we have a subcontractor in a country outside the EU/EEA or if it is necessary for us to fulfill our contractual obligations to you, the transfer of personal data outside the EU/EEA may occur, even if that country, according to the EU Commission, does not have an adequate level of data protection. By agreeing to this privacy policy, you consent to your personal data being transferred to companies and organizations both within and outside the EU.

5. Purposes of Processing Personal Data

Hammargruppen primarily uses personal data to administer your purchases and your account via “My Page.” This is necessary for us to fulfill our contractual obligations under the purchase agreement. If necessary information is not provided, we must deny your purchase.

Additionally, Hammargruppen uses personal data to send information about company news or its products, as well as to allow our customers to use our website and place orders through it. This is also done to inform about new products and various campaigns.

6. Data Retention

Hammargruppen stores all collected personal data in our customer database. The same personal data may be stored in different places for different purposes. This means that a piece of data that has been deleted from one system because it is no longer necessary may still exist in another system where it is stored based on consent or another legal basis. However, we never retain your personal data longer than necessary for each specific purpose.

Your personal data is stored for three (3) years or until you actively choose to delete your information. After that, only data necessary for accounting purposes will be retained.

Hammargruppen deletes personal data in accordance with applicable law. This means that Hammargruppen will delete or anonymize personal data when the purpose for processing it no longer exists.

7. Technical and Organizational Measures for Secure Processing of Personal Data

We are the sole owners of the information collected about you. Your personally identifiable information will not be sold or exchanged with any other company without your consent. Hammargruppen continuously takes measures to comply with the principles of “privacy by design and by default.” This includes continuously assessing the risks associated with our data processing and taking necessary security measures to mitigate these risks. We also provide ongoing data protection training for our staff.

Hammargruppen AB, organization number 556710-7502, is responsible for handling the personal data you provide.

You have the right to request information about what personal data is registered about you. Any incorrect personal data may be corrected upon request. You can also request that your personal data be deleted. These requests should be submitted by contacting us via email at info@hammargruppen.se.
