The Crockett & Jones Billfold Wallet in Burgundy Shell Cordovan combines classic British leather craftsmanship with perhaps Cordovan's most iconic colour. Burgundy has a unique depth where shades of wine red, mahogany, and dark brown shift depending on the light and usage.
The wallet is made from Horween Shell Cordovan, prized for its dense structure, durability, and distinctive lustre. The Billfold is the largest model in the Crockett & Jones Leather Goods Collection and offers eight card slots, two extra internal pockets, and a full-width bill compartment.
Inside, the Burgundy Cordovan contrasts with an elegant dark green calfskin lining. The edges are finished by hand, and every stitch is sewn by hand in England.
At Crockett & Jones shoemaking, smaller pieces of Shell Cordovan are also salvaged and used for the company's leather goods. A valuable material that would otherwise be difficult to use for larger shoe parts thus gets new life in wallets, card cases, and cardholders.
Burgundy Cordovan also only gets more beautiful with time. Use and handling gradually contribute to a deeper lustre and a patina that makes each wallet personal.
