Bowhill & Elliott was founded by Obadiah Bowhill in 1874 when he bought the company from Wright & Co. He later passed it on to his son and son-in-law, Thomas Baines Elliott. This was the beginning of their family business, which is now led by Roger Jury - a descendant of Thomas Elliott.
We have had the pleasure of working with Bowhill & Elliott since 1991. Their factory is located in Norwich, UK, and they specialize in producing high-quality slippers and indoor shoes. All shoes are made by hand and often have eccentric embroideries on the upper side.
Crockett & Jones was founded in Northampton, England, by Charles Jones and James Crockett. Both had experience in shoemaking, and they founded a company that reflected their passion for craftsmanship. The leather was cut in their factory, and employees often brought the shoes home to be finished before delivery. Today, the business is run by the fourth generation of the Jones family - Jonathan Jones.
We have been wholesalers for Crockett & Jones since 1991 and have worked closely with them ever since. The company has been producing exclusive footwear for over 140 years, and they are one of the most reputable contemporary British shoe manufacturers with international exports.
Founded in 1937, Pantherella has since manufactured exclusive socks in Leicester, England. The man behind the company was Louis Goldschmidt, and he was confident that lightweight, seamless and stylish socks would become increasingly popular. He couldn't have been more right, and Pantherella's socks quickly became the industry standard.
Today, Pantherella is still known for manufacturing the world's finest socks from exclusive materials such as cashmere and silk. With an extensive global market, Pantherella still has production in Leicester and maintains the same high standards as Louis Goldschmidt did.
Gaardhagen & Kanljen was founded by Lars Gaardhagen in 1990. After running a linen house in Stockholm, Lars came to a point in his life where he wanted to try something new. Driven by his interest in turn-of-the-century clothing, he started to design linen shirts, trousers, and suits - inspired by historic prints from the early 20th century. His contacts in the linen industry gave him access to high-quality linen from some of Europe's remaining linen weavers. The rest is history.
After several customer requests for suitable hats to match the linen clothing, Lars started looking for the best Panama hat manufacturers in Ecuador. His search finally took him to a small village on the coast, where he found a family that made the finest Panama hats - and they became his main suppliers.
